The client had a very specific look that they wanted for this ARG, including some shadowing and offsets for ‘O’.

Colour

Everything about the design was specific for the story while also tying in the branding of its sponsors.

Images

The client provided visually-appealing images that matched the universe one entered by playing the ARG.

Web Solutions

Because the ARG was mobile, it was designed with only mobile in mind, but it worked well on desktop, too.

Identity, Packaging & Story

Chronovtenures was an ARG Polaris (formally Skookum Monkey) sponsored for GottaCon 2015. This site was a lot of fun to build, and we got to use some tools in my set for the very first time.

Because an ARG requires the user to become immersed in the story, we had to:

Strictly follow a provided style guide
Create a "present" (2077) version and "past" (2015) version of the website
Completely mobile-ready with QR codes to trigger PHP actions
Create custom documentation for the people facilitating the ARG
The ability to embed custom leaderboards
Mitigate DDoS attacks during the game
